June sees the start of EatChiswick, the new food and drink festival for London and it’s going to be a great eight days full of excitement and surprises for everyone.
Kicking off on Monday June 1, participants including restaurants, bars and food retailers will launch their signature menus for the eight day event, giving visitors a chance to sample classic and innovative dishes. Throughout the festival there will be day and evening events and exclusive offers for wristband holders and lots of other treats along the way.
EatChiswick features an eclectic mix; from the many independents and established family businesses through to newcomers in the area, artisans and pub chains. Expect to see an exciting array of events, offers and sampling across Chiswick from the likes of; Natoora, Fuller’s, Outsider Tart, Sipsmith, Vinoteca, Sam’s Brasserie, Hack & Veldt, Red Squirrel Wines, Wyndham House Butchers, Jackson + Rye, The City Barge, Chateau Dessert, Pho restaurant, Hare & Tortoise, The Italian Job Beer Pub, High Road House, Zecca Living, Brentford Market and Hot House and many more.
Pop Up Street Food Market:
Chiswick High Road will have it’s first ever street food market on Saturday June 6 from 10am to 4pm featuring over 30 local artisans and restaurants. As well as street food trucks we will have Bicycle Bar, Pho restaurant street food, a new collaboration with Darling & Feld, the Coffee Traveller world famous citroen and Maids of Honour to name but a few.
We will be announcing the official schedule of events next Friday May 15. But what we can say now is that there will be lots of fun for everyone. Events will be happening every day including School of Comedy improv at Outsider Tart, The History of Gin and Hogarth hosted by The Chiswick Calendar, wine tasting at The Good Wineshop, Art and wine at Villa di Geggiano, Guided Tasting Tour with Sipsmith, Fuller’s and the Italian Job pub and many more.
EatChiswick Wristbands will be on sale for £10 very soon. These will give you exclusive entry into events, extra goodies and freebies and also unlock special deals too. You can use your wristbands from morning to night. Participating Fuller’s pubs will be offering a free cask ale or drink with food, Chateau Dessert has created an EatChiswick cupcake free with tea or coffee. Flash your wristband in the The City Barge and get a free glass of prosecco. Wyndham House butchers is offering 10% of selected meats and poultry while Badger & Earl is offering a discount on all classes booked during the festival. Check back for full details soon.
As well as guided tours (and even a pub crawl), there will be a number of Official EatChiswick Maps co-created with the likes of Brompton, School of Comedy, Fuller’s and the Chiswick Calendar. These can be collected from the EatChiswick Hubs which will be George IV Pub Chiswick High Road, Chiswick Park Tube kiosk and The City Barge (photo below courtesy of Time Out), Strand on the Green as well as at the pop up food market on June 6.
A key feature of the festival will be collaborations giving businesses that are not usually on the high street a platform to promote themselves. Natoora, Zecca and Wyndham House will be hosting chef tasting events and Outsider Tart will be working with School of Comedy to create an improv night.
