Hello from EatChiswick HQ!
The hot, hot news is that we’re in planning mode for our third EatChiswick Food and Drink Festival this June, and want to give you all a heads up on what to expect from this year’s 8 days of foodie fun. Yes, that’ 8 days – June 1 to 8 – and not 5 as we previously said. We looked at all of the exciting things we could do and realised 5 days just wasn’t enough so we’re back to 8 as we’ve done in previous years. So…
SAVE THE DATES: JUNE 1 TO JUNE 8, 2017 IS EATCHISWICK FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL
While we’re not able to reveal quite all yet, we can certainly tell you what our theme for this year is, it’s ‘Walks and Talks’. This means from June 1 to 8 there will be a series of fantastic and inspirational events across the area reaching all the way from Stamford Brook to Kew Bridge and everything in between. You will be able to visit unusual and familiar places and go on guided walks from nature trails to pub crawls.
Why we need a festival
Your local business community needs more support than ever before to help keep our lovely independents and artisans thriving, especially as we have had many shops and eateries closing.
We want EatChiswick Food and Drink festival to help you discover and experience the best of what’s on offer and more, without resorting to discounting or freebies which undermine small business margins – watch out for more news in the coming weeks.
We will be holding talks, demos, tasting and lots of exciting and innovative events across various venues from coffee bars and pubs to bookshops and restaurants.
Schedule and Weekend Pop Up Market
The festival schedule will be published in April and you will see it fill up as we get closer to June. The weekend street food market which has been massively successful over the last few years will be back on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June with lots of exciting things going on.
Want to get involved?
If you’re a local business and want to get involved, please get in touch using the form below, we are also looking for volunteers to help with organisation of the event so if you want to be a part of a community event supporting your local high street and our independent traders get in touch here too.
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
